“Mom, ” Amy shouted shrilly. The sound reverberated from the open plan kitchen-living room walls. Concerned, Jenny turned around from the fridge in the kitchen to look at her fourteen-year-old daughter enjoying a healthy lunch at the mahogany dining table.
